The talk of the town British star Melinda Messenger has gone from bikini pinup girl to being the host of a bevy of shows. In an almost overnight, the extravagant voluptuous model became a household name in the UK, thanks to her perky attitude. Well, other perky features that have also made her a favorite of men's magazine is the F1 circuit.
Another fame happened after the campaign for Glevum Windows. In this is how her modeling career started and on January 28, 1997 because she had shoot for the Daily Star newspaper. Then, soon became The Sun's Page Three Girl and she was recognized in the UK.
In the same year, 1997 she began her career goals as a television person on Channel 4's Eurotrash. She also hosted in "Melinda's Big Night In" on Channel 5 and awarded Rear of the Year. Hosting many shows, as an example "Loose Lips", "Baby Baby", "Fort Boyard", "Can We Still Be Friends", "Beat The Dealer" and "Beat The Crusher".
Borned on 23 February 1971 in Swindon, Wiltshire. Melinda is the the middle child between two brothers, Jamie and Warren. The parents were Terry and Avis which after marrying had also undergone divorced when Melinda was in the aged of five. After having a training in several different schools, one of which, Dorcan Technology College, she spent six months working as a flight attendant for Britannia Airways. Messenger later entered a local marketing company, rising to become customer services manager, overseeing a staff of 50.
Melinda appeared on the Celebrity Big Brother which was very interesting in November 2002 in aid of a number of charities. She has since presented many TV programmes, Loose Lips (with Richard Arnold), Baby Baby, Fort Boyard, Can We Still Be Friends, Beat The Dealer, Beat The Crusher, and guest presented on such shows as Wish You Were Here, Heaven and Earth, 4x4, What on Earth, and is a regular guest-presenter on the topical show The Wright Stuff. Among those roles had assigned to Melinda, she still continues to show up on British television as a popular guest; with programmes such as This Week with Andrew Neil and Michael Portillo, This Morning, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, TFI, The Kumars at No. 42, Shooting Stars, and also creating guest cameo appearances in shows such as Gimme Gimme Gimme and Bo! Selecta.
But not only that, She also appeared in a Party political broadcast for the Labour Party at the time of the 2005 General Election. Just days before in a guest appearance on The Wright Stuff she looked awkward as Labour's record in Government was attacked, choosing not to defend it.
Melinda has recently been seen on BBC1's City Hospital on which she has been co-presenting, The Wright Stuff; she's also currently a regular on "GMTV/LK Today" in a series on IVF treatment, and can also be seen exercising on the Breast Cancer Awareness charity DVD All Star Workout.
The family of Melinda must be proud of her for being a helpful and loving to poor people who really needs help. Surely they must because this woman heavily supports the charity Action Aid, and made a recent trip to Malawi to highlight the plight of the countries' orphans; she has just appeared on Sky News / GMTV and other shows to grew awareness.
Last 25 of November, Melinda and her family have an appearance on All Star Family Fortunes against the Ryan family, which turned out to be a series highlight (check youtube if you missed it and catch Melinda's faux pas), and she appeared in one of the Christmas 2006 episodes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (for Action Aid) where she and Alistair Stewart won again for the highest amount of the charity series, and also "City Hospital".
Right now, Melinda currently has a magazine on the shelves called "At Home With Melinda Messenger" which is aimed at parents.
Melinda filmed a cameo role in 1999's Brit flick Virtual Sexuality and co-starred alongside Richard O'Brien, John Inman, Nigel Davenport, Joss Ackland etc in "The Mumbo Jumbo" filmed in 2000. And finally now, she has become a successful, experienced, strong and popular stage actress, starring in many pantomimes since 1997, such as Cinderella (2004-2005) and Aladdin (with Bobby Davro and John Rhys Davies, Woking, 2005-2006).
Messenger was been married with a good man Welshman Wayne Roberts in Bali on 26 November 1998. The start of the spark was when they met at his local Swansea night club looking great in the night. The lovely couple have three children: Morgan (7 April 2000), Flynn (2002) and Evie (December 2003). Unluckily, she suffered from post-natal depression after the birth of her second and third children, although she planned a large family of five/six children she has decided not to have any more. In return of the sad things last 2003, Messenger won Quality Street "Celebrity Mum of the Year". Roberts runs a Swindon-based electronics company, of which Messenger is a director.
Followed in 2005, Messenger became worried for the education of her children, and although the couple had just completed renovation of their Wanborough-based 25-room former rectory, Messenger insisted that they transfer closer to a Steiner-Waldorf school in Reading, Berkshire. This brought tensions into the couple's relationship, and, as a result, they separated on 15 April 2008,later re-uniting that same month to discuss their split for a photo-spread in Hello!
